How do Bloggers/Websites Hide Referral Links???

Hello Friends,

I have seen many Bloggers/Website Owners Hiding Referral Links in some other form of URL.

Suppose a Referral Link is like http://www.abcd.com/ref=1234, where abcd is the Website Name to which these Bloggers/Sites are Referring and 1234 is their Referral Code.

Now I have seen that they hide the above link into one of the following formats:

* http://xyz.com/abcd.php

* http://xyz.com/go/abcd

* http://go.xyz.com/abcd

* etc. etc. etc.
......

Here xyz is the Website Address of these Bloggers/Website Owners.

Just for Knowledge sake, can someone please tell me how above links are made???

P.S. No Wrong Intentions at all, Just wanna know :)

I dont know if they made it yet, but a simple script would do this,

1 You have a script in abc.com/redirect/r.php

2 You go to this r.php, and open it.

3 Enter a url and your preferred word/number for it

4 it stores it in a database.

5 and gives a url like abc.com/redirect/r.php/505

this 505 is parsed and the user is redirected to the link entered in the database.

Its as simple as that..

If ur good at scripting u can make it your self..damn easy logic.i dont know programming and hence cant help more than this:(

Also, there are many url shortening scripts available, simply install in a sub folder and make a short link and use it..
