How do i run telnet in windows 7

i would like to telnet a particular server for checking whether a port is enable or not.
i never had any problem while issuing telnet command in xp,2000 .but ever since i migrated to windows 7 .it doesn't recognize the command and says
command not found.

Please help.
 
Enable Telnet on Windows 7 by following these steps:

1. Start

2. Control Panel

3. Programs And Features

4. Turn Windows features on or off

5. Check Telnet Client

6. Hit OK

After that you can start Telnet via Command Prompt. :)
