Storage Solutions How do you burn dual layer DVDs

I have bought few dual layer dvds for data backup but till now I have never used one.

Do I copy all data 8.5Gb at once or is it done in 2 phases 4+4.5 gb?

I use nero burning rom v9

Anything specific I should know about?

I bought 1 moser bayer for 60/- & 2 national dvd for 25/-
 
Burn at slower speed. Burning at max speed might create coaster. More ever compatibility issue of the dvd media with the writer might pop up. So slower is safer ;)

national double layer (8.5gb) cost 25/- each from nehru place

even I was surprised by cost but I still bought the expensive moser bayer too.

Need to test the data reliability of these cheaper dvds
