Ok, guys.
What i mean to ask here is how good do you guys think are the newer reasonbly priced chipsets. Eg: MediaTek and qualcomm
There was a time when having a dual core phone meant spending over 20k. And now with these chipsets out, you have quadcore processors beating the hell put of the earlier dual cores at fraction of the price.
I mean just look at Spice mi-496. quad core goodness with a gig of ram and all the good specs @ just 6k. Runs plays everything smoothly on its 4.5" screen.
Priced at a low end competes easily with the mid end phones of last year that were priced 4X this phone's retail price.
In the same manner there are many of these phones with great performance and a very good retail package.
Eg: The xolo q series - Awesome built quality, good battery life (thanks to mediatek chipset being so power efficient), and great overall package - display and touch response.
Also now most of these phones have good dev support - Micromax a116, xolo and spice.
How do you think these phones or chipset stand against the high end smartphones? They definitely look great vfm. And are getting better with each day.
