Hi,

Would like to know whether anyone used this motherboard:

Intel Desktop Board DH67VR

Intel® Desktop Board DH67VR

This looks like an interesting low price motherboard.

The reason for asking:

I wanted to know whether Intel's Sata B3 problem will be applicable to this board ?

Isn't B3 problem only applicable from sata ports 2 and above ?

Only 2 Sata ports are there and they are Sata 3 6gbps type.

Hope normal (one or two year old) SATA drives will work with these ports.

Display ports are DVI-I+HDMI.

Does a normal DVI-D to D-SUB converter work with this port ?

Does such a connector come with m/b packing ?

Thanks..

All the new boards are B3 revision, so they are not applicable. Also AFAIK, the B3 problem was with SATA II 3Gbps ports only, not with the SATA III 6Gbps ports.

SATA III is backward compatible with SATA II and I.

DVI-I should allow the use of a DVI to DSUB converter usually, but do check it out, because sometimes these are do not support DSUB converter, since they are purely digital and do not carry analog signal. I do noo think it will work. Also these converters are not given with the mobos usually, but are given with GPU's.
