How is Tata and Mtnl BB in Delhi?

I have had with Airtel and their stupid 1:2 ratio or whatever the hell they call it. I get speeds ranging from 112-200 kbsp in 256kbsp plan and was wondering if Mtnl and Tata are the lesser of the evil? I am leaning towards MTNL but wanted to know the general opinion.
 
I'm on MTNL TriB 749NU - 2mbps speeds, night unlimited downloads from 12-8am. No downtimes at all. But to get the speeds increased from 256kbps (from my previous plan) to 2mbps, i'd to call mtnl officers a lot of times...
 
Though I sleep late, I hate these night plans since I feel obliged to download stuff. I also need the net for around 3 to 4 hours in the morning for work related stuff which includes surfing multi-media sites, downloading images etc, so me thinking 1GB in the morning wont be enough.

Downloading tv shows and music is a part of my daily regime and this plan sounds extremly tempting! Now Im confused :)
 
Get two of those NU plans, that ways you'll have enough capacity to browse during the day and you can download as much as you want at night!

u mean kbps rite?

well i dont know abt delhi but mtnl service in mumbai is pretty good. im on the 2mbps nite unlimited plan. really is more than enough for downloading.. eventually u run out of stuff to download at tht sort of speed :bleh: :bleh:

i get an average download speed of 210KBps thru out the day.:ohyeah: :ohyeah:

wht????? You get around 210KBps thru out the day :) Really???? Two plans on one connection. Is that even possible?
 
ya i get 210KBps and sumtimes more thru out the day ;)

but i can only download from 12am to 8am as im on nite unlimited. but i am able to download up to 5.6gb per nite. so im pretty happy with it.

and iirc, its not possible to have 2 mtnl plans unless u have 2 different mtnl landlines. cuz its 1 connection per landline and u can have only 1 plan active on it.

and if it helps, im on the DSL NU849 plan ;)
