How is the Sennheiser CX180?

I'm planning to buy the CX180 Streets II. I guess the "Streets II" is just a branding of the movie "Step Up 2: The Streets."
Does anyone have it? I'd like to get a rough summary from your experience. Overall reviews online seems to be highly positive. I'm not an audiophile but I love good sound and I seem to have the knack to detect "bad" sound. :/
I like good bass (good=/=heavy).

Previously I've owned SoundMagic PL11 (lost), JVC Marshmallow (missing) and a creative IEM (dead).
Not looking to buy any other model for now. Just wanted to know if this one is worth the purchase.

Thanks.

CX180 should be perfect, if its for bass.
Wires are durable for rugged use.

I broke them in 6 months though. The wires got cut when I placed them in the drawer.
I bought them for 999 but Amazon prices had gone as low as 699.

After ruining multiple iem's I had decided not to spend more than 1k ever again, picked the cx180 up for 699 on a sale last year and was pleasantly surprised.
It's a good vfm iem and for me it has pretty much killed all the v-shaped iem's in the 3k-4k range.

Thanks guys. Placed the order. Reaching me next week. Its going for rs.800'ish and seems like a decent one for its price. Not sure how reliable the reviews are but it seems to be the highest rated iem in India for <1000rs.

Nice.

... :x
how is the build when compared to the PL11 (if you ever had it)? While the sound was good for me i had a problem with the overall build quality of the PL11. The rubber insulation started coming off and the soft silicon ear tips also didn't have such a long life. Used up all the 3x provided.
How long is the wire?

When was that? Lightning deal? Diwali sale? I actually had no intention of buying an IEM till only recently nor do i like them so much as I use my gaming headphone most of the time and love the bass of it. But one of the ear-cups do not work anymore and since i've got a phone on the way i figured i should buy one.
Thanks for the reply. I suck at buying audio devices. I was originally planning to buy a cheap Phillips earphone which costs some 500rs-600rs. ditched the idea.
Admittedly one of the main reasons why I bought the CX180 is because its looks so darn cool. Grey+Black color scheme = <3 :D

Congrats on your purchase, good you chose this one as compared to Philips, I am no expert in audio related things but one thing sure about this earphone is the quality of the cable used, its quite good for rough usage

Also the sound quality in normal terms is quite satisfactory, i had got for 720rs from Amazon, its worth it

Me too, but I don't really want to buy IEMs which cost over 1k as i don't see the price justifying the performance for my usage. I made an exception with the SoundMagic P21 (i think) the one with mic and that one also died soon after the warranty expired. At the risk of sounding like a hater without any valid experience in the field i think that SoundMagic compromised heavily on the build quality just to give good price for cheap. The few months warranty (only 6 months is it?) do not help either.

That is nice to hear.

Thanks man. Looks like many people bought it during the sale. Now that i think about it i seem to remember that someone posted a link on the Amazon deals thread when it was on sale. I guess i didn't feel the need for it back then.
I don't know about the costlier models but the basic Philips earphones have really thin wires imo. This CX180 carries 2 years warranty so that's a plus.

No i dint buy during sale, just kept a tab and i was lucky to get it at this price

And yes the 2yrs warranty is a plus point as well
