How many of you perform defragmentation on mass memory?

How many of you perform defragmentation on your cellphones mass memory?

Using Auslogics Disk Defrag today i performed the operation for the first time and noticed a bit improvement in performance.

Is there any app which can perform this or do i need to connect it to a system ?

connect it to the system.. and there is really not much need to perform defragmentation as it is a flash memory..

I don't, but sometimes i do defrag my USB drive, because fragmented image files fails to boot. (i have loaded my USB drive with lots of bootable image)

Almost never. Dont think its needed.

Yes its not much needed atleast on phone memory but just gave it a shot. Would like to defrag the c: drive of phone if its possible.

well.. if you still wanna defrag, either connect it to your card reader inbuilt or buy a usb multi card reader.

and about the image files failing to boot, everytime you make a bootable usb drive, always, always format it specially just before making the drive bootable to the required file format . NTFS or FAT32. but always format. never create a bootable usb drive without first formatting it. quick format is fine.

i dont think that defragmenting any type of flash storage -memory cards,SSD- makes any difference in performance. On the other hand, they reduce their lifespan a little as all the NAND storage has limited writes.
