How many times have u shouted back at ur Boss??

How many times have u given ur boss a taste of his own medicine..?:@ :@
i.e when he has shouted at you for no fault of urs ( or so u thot! )

1) Once. Then i got fired.
2) a couple of times
3) Everytime he/she shouts at me! & @ d same dB level.
 
You simply cant do that and continue working in normal environment.

You can state your point but in polite way.

I have very short working experience and i never ever shouted at anyone. I am managing some small things in my father's hospital and there are people who work under me in that case and even they never ever talk to me in loud noise even when most of them are twice my age. And even when i ocassionally have to speak in upper voice to get things done.

It wont be tolerated in most places. So i dont know you will find many who did such thing. Even if you are ready to quit some organisation its never good idea to shout at your superiors. Afterall word spreads.

Shouting at your peers is only gonna make you look stupid. Its not gonna help anyone at all. Controlling one's temper is the most important think in life. If you don't, it could end up spoiling your career!

OT: My manager(actually a misnomer in research, all of us work independently) is probably one of the nicest guys i've ever met. Can't even dream of shouting at him LOL.
 
ok ive never worked before to shout at my boss, but ive shouted at my professor :ohyeah: . the problem was that i didnt get my hall ticket on the day of my exam :( its was the college's fault, but that professor had the guts to shout at me in the hall... i gave a piece of my mind, and without turning back, went to the hostel

and after 30mins the guy comes to my room, hands over the hall ticket, and tells me that he had to shout cause the principal was watching :P .. he then escorted me to the exam hall :ohyeah: :hap2:
 
LOL, I shout at my boss daily.

Its become a part of my daily routine now, I cant go on till I shout at him atleast once daily and he shouts back at me.U cud say we have a love-hate relationship (love 0.001% and Hate 99.999%) :ohyeah:
 
Yelling gets you nowhere, whether it's at your boss or peers... besides, I couldn't shout at my last 2 bosses as they were both CEO's :D
 
well like most people here said, shouting wont get you anywhere, but i still believe that being firm in your viewpoint and standing ground when you know you are right does help. you wont be taken for granted the next time.

my first job, first appraisal and the boss began nitpicking on the smallest of issues just because there was a spat sometime during the project. after 1.5 hours, i refused to sign it and escalated it. got things the way i wanted. but thank god I was never in her project from that point on.

also I've seen some spineless people who just cant seem to say NO when they should actually be saying buzz off.

These people get the worst work packets, have to work late hours and weekends. these people dont get any appreciation. they only crib during coffee breaks.
