I have a Sony VCR, around 8 years old. At the time, it was a fairly high end model with 6 heads, stereo recording etc. I had been using it quite regularly over the years, mainly to catch up on TV programs that I had missed. But yesterday, while cleaning out the cabinet, I realized that it was not plugged in and had not been used for over 6 months. As I don't watch much TV anymore, I don't think this is going to change anytime soon.

I've decided to put it up for sale. It's in very good condition and works well. Any idea how much I can ask for it?

Yeah... I do not think you wud find any takers for a VCR.... And since its not been used for 6 months.. I think it might need servicing as well....

So good luck ... :)

You may try selling it to Video Library or similar shops. Also try Wedding videos editing studios. They still record all those ceremonies on Video Tape... so they might buy it from you. Who knows!?

dunno abt money bt u will receive thankful words if u donate it to some1 who can make use of it.

again if u wish 2 sell it...u wont fetch more than 500...n u will be much more pleased by the favour of donating it if its worth more than that amount to you. :)

I think I will keep it and try to use it for recording some TV programs. Thanks to everyone who responded.

as already suggested you can try your luck on EBAY......or else....try selling it to a editting shop.....the one which converts old cassetes...used is your VCR into CD's........i am a bit apprehensive about how many shops still do that...but still its worth giving a try.....and about the money....well mate dont try hard..if you get 500 for this antique baby......you should consider yourself lucky....

NOM......:D

I had 4 working VCR's which I sold last year for 100/- each to the "RUDHIWALA". This was the BEST offer I got for them. :(

well u can keep it,if ur VCR as a tuner u can probably use it for lcd monitors that has a composite IN.sony india stopped selling the VCR in 2006 at that time they used to advertize it as a tuner for their plasma display panel(not to be confused with plasma TVS).
