Just Yesterday, I was trying to load a dvd on my Macbook Pro slot loading superdrive, but it was not going inside. I tried to push it a little bit hard. The DVD went in, but it seems like it has also pushed in some sponge covering(used to support the DVD in the drive) of the superdrive. :crash:
Now none of DVD's/CDs work and they all generate a screeching noise(similar to the DVD surface rubbing against the hard inside surface of the drive.
Please tell me:
1. Can the drive be repaired now?
2. How much does it cost to replace a MacbookPro Superdrive here in india?
3. If it is too costly, what are my other options?
Should I buy an external DVD drive instead of the internal one?
