Hey there guys,

I live in Mumbai and I have already sold my fat PSP at a very good price of Rs. 8000 :hap2: and now I intend to buy a slim. I checked out the price at Ninja Traders here in Musafir Khanna and am getting a slim for somewhere around Rs. 8500. Do you guys know any other places where I can get a slim and a good price ??

I have yet to visit Alpha and check out the prices over there. Also, a friend of mine is gonna visit Delhi pretty soon. He can pick up a slim for me from Palika Bazaar. Do any of you guys know what prices are going over there for the slim ?

From what I think, Rs. 8500 is preposterous given a slim PSP is just $170 US, which comes down to Rs. 6800. I know they sneak in slims and stuff and that the gray market people need to pay their "passengers" a certain fee for doing that but still, don't you guys think comparatively its costly :P

I also have my eyes set on an 8 Gb Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo, which am getting from Playasia for just $154 US, which is amazing :D

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanx in advance ;)

Well in the US its for $ 170 for the core pack ..
a frnd of mine ordered Daxter Silver Pack and paid 10,500 in all to get it shipped here..

But u shd have progressive scan enabled TV for the TV out option .. if thats wot u r looking forward to .. and a good zoom feature wil do wonders...

At 8500...Get it by all means dude.. and get it cracked with pandora battery trick and save on the cost of UMD... the crack has been done on 3.60 only til now.. Grab it b4 3.70 installed psp are out .. they r on their way ....

Ofcource the above suggestion is only if u want ur LEGAL ISO running on the psp... :D

Hey,

Thanx for the reply. Well, I am really looking forward to the TV out option but am only interested in watching movies that I convert from .avi to .mp4. Am not sure whether my TV supports progressive scan but its a regular Onida 21" AudioPort TV. I've noticed that its one of those rare TVs that supports MultiRegion (NTSC/PAL) and also has a Super Video In :D.

So, will that do ? and should I get the slim at that price :P

I just realized, I can't edit my posts, which I think is really stupid :P (but may be I need to read up on the rules on this forums, which will enable me to edit my posts in the near future or something.....whatever...

I know all about Pandora and I've downgraded quite a few PSPs for my cousins and friends using just that ;)

u want peace of mind.. and some assurance that u got ur hands on it while u can .. GET IT..

who knows what is in store with 3.70 ... maybe an altered architecture altogether...

better to be happy rather than crib later on .. get it ... :)

Aight, will get it tomorrow or day after tomorrow :D Thanx for the help. Really appreciate what indian gamers have to say :)

Am gonna be sticking around these forums for quite a while ;)

Coincidentally, I got a PSP myself. Not the slim one of course. Now I know what it feels like to get stuff you didn't ask for but like anyway.

Also, anyone know the price of the PSP camera or if it is available in India at all?
