How safe is google wallet?

I want to buy some android apps, but Somehow I can't bring myself to trust google wallet. I'm hugely paranoid, and I find it hard to give up what is essentially a blank cheque to google. Plus the fact that there is no two factor authentication (I really dont want my purchases to be *that* convenient)

Looking for your opinions
 
Make your purchase and delete your card information from google accounts after that if you are not comfortable
 
Google wallet is good.

I have not used the Andorid app but I have 3 credit cards attached and purchasing has been easy. As mentioned you can remove the card once you are done.
