But whenever you rep someone, he gets an equal number of nickels too...

So, if someone has repped him and he has got 100 reps, he will also get 100nicks at the same time....

Yes, that is correct...when u rep someone he/she does get nickels...but the reps given before this system came into existance are not counted
And hence the above.
