Security Software How to allow a file to run in Avira AV without quarantine it

Hi

I run a program for data collection which as per Avira 10 (Free version) contains a TR/VB/Download.gen virus

It detects the virus & immediately quarantines it & stops the program

I want to be able to run that file because as per the developer it is not a virus & I trust him

Any idea how to go about allowing the program to run ?

Presently I have to shut down the AV, Run the program & then again switch on the AV, but is there any other permanent solution ?

You can change the default action under the setting option. I don`t have avira, so can`t give you exact location, play with the menus
 
Check for exclude list or trusted list. Not sure what Avira name such option but it is pretty standard for all AVs. Specify you file path and execute it.
 
1.Go to EXTRAS in the menu bar and then click on CONFIGURATION.
2.A new window will appear, In that select the EXPERT MODE.
3.Now, double click on GUARD ,then double click on SCAN.
4.Select EXCEPTIONS and then you can put the application into exception list:cool2:
