how to auto connect to the internet on bootup in windows vista??

hay guys.. im goin out of town for a week but am going to leave my pc on for the week,
i wanted to know how i connect to the internet on bootup... ive tried placing a shortcut of my dataone connection from Connection Manager screen but it doesent seem to work... it used to work only in XP...
i have the BSNL Dataone connectoin.. and connect to the net thru PPPoE.

is there any command line that i can add in the registry to start it automatically??? wt can i do... any help would be appriciated...
 
can't yu setup your modem in bridge mode (think that's what it's called) where the modem automatically negotiates the sign-on with the isp on power-on
 
i tried that on my Huawei smartAx Mt841 modem.. but dint work...ive tried gooling but found the same stuff... so any other suggestions? or any other method for setting it up??
