Many android apps especially financial apps require to set device lock for mobile phones to function.

Till now I managed to avoid such apps, I dont need any lock for my phone.

But now Intune Company Portal apps like Outlook email from my firm makes it unavoidable.

Is there any way to make such apps works without setting device lock for my mobile phone.

Nope you will have to set a pin, you can set a pin and then use fingerprint if yoru phone has teh feature but it will ask you to enter pin once a day or once a week depending on your companies settings.

Once you enroll your device via company portal or put into supervise mode.

You'll have compliance policy or device restriction policy applied to the device making it impossible to remove the pass-code restriction.

If you manage to remove it, the Company Portal will block access to your work apps. This is done to keep your company or your client data safe.

About 6 or 7 years ago, there were scripts from XDA allowing you to bypass root detection and couple of other restrictions. That's no longer the case now.

You should keep a lock as you are also responsible to protect your employer's data from leaking in case of theft.
I need to unlock atleast 70-80 times my phone, and there is no rocket formula to loose. For this reason I have stopped using Zerodha mobile app

Use face id, No need to even use fingerprint or pin. You gotta set a pin or pattern to use face id or fingerprint first though. After that setup face id.

In any case, securing your and your company's data is your responsibility and that is the only way.

There are infact. Talk to your Intune admin. It's upto your organisation on taking a call. If you work for larger org, you'll have to deal thru Info-sec and other bureaucratic hurdles.

Option one: MAM-WE(Mobile App Management-Without Enrollment) enrollment. Just install Outlook and access your account, they can enforce PIN just for the app while your phone works normal.

option two: Create more relaxed policies (compliance or device restrictions) and link your UPN to it.
