Amazing how this guy has installed in one box so many OS's :

Here he explains how to configure Grub and menu to handle his 100+ installed operating systems.

Boot 100+ different OS's in one computer

The 100+ systems comprise of
  • 3 Dos
  • 3 Windows
  • 5 BSDs (in Part 2 Menu)
  • 2 Solaris (in Part 2 Menu)
  • 97 Linux including 2 versions of NetBSD

^ First check the link posted in the very first post, the guy explains all. Else,

It's not going to be easy and answer is vague.

  • The right way is to install xp first followed by linux.
  • For the other way around, first you need create/free up disk space say 20GB.
  • Boot using xp cd, format the freed up disk space and install xp.
  • Now final step is to repair the linux boot loader/grub, by using your linux cd.
  • Here's the tricky part, you have to manually enter/edit the grub loader for adding the xp boot details, for it to show up in os choices menu, and based on linux flavour you use, the steps and results vary.

So my advise, becareful as not many people install xp over linux. Linux over xp is prefered route.

PS : There are tons of dual os guides, you can follow any of them but again the chosen route is Linux over XP.

Also wait for others to reply, especially people who have dual os installation :)
