How to cancel order on Ebay

Hello friends,

May sound silly. But i want to cancel my order on ebay.
Getting into details,
I ordered a mobile from ebay today evening. After half an hour of my order completion, i realized that it was a white one. But i'm looking to buy a black one. Through interface provided by ebay i wrote to the seller that i want to cancel my order as i am looking for a black one.

But there are chances that he may not accept it and ship the mobile. So i called the ebay customer care and asked them to cancel my order. After listening all i said, they simply say that it was clearly written in the listing as a white color and there is nothing they can help with. Then i told them i will not receive the item even if it ships so that it will be returned to the seller.

They told me that if i intentionally reject the item, the refund completely depends on the ebay people whether to refund or send the item back again to me.

Please help to get me out from this. Thanks in advance.
 
I tried to contact the seller. But there is no number or email of him on ebay.
He has only one piece and i purchased it. So he may not be willing to cancel the order.
As told already, i wrote to him using ebay interface. Lets see what'll happen.

U cannot sell on ebay without phone number or email.

Check the order confirmation mail from eBay, paisapay one, it has sellers email id and contact number.
 
The only option for u is if the seller does not ship it. If its under power ship u cannot refuse it, else u can refuse the courier and say packing looked tampered.

But then be prepared for atleast 10-15 days minimum haggling and fighting with eBay for refund.
 
a few days back, i too had placed an order for a low-value item, only to realise a few hours later, that i stand to get the same item as a gift! quickly then messaged the ebay-seller (but forgot to msg to his cell. no. or/and email ID, and thinking that he would reply to my ebay-msg, i sent my ebay-msg). but he anyway dispatched it later without responding, and now i will have to sell it here on the forum. lesson learnt!

now wondering what feedback to leave for him. :D
would leave the usual positive feedback.

I have already refused 1 parcel under powership.

Second item was ready to ship via powership, asked seller not to ship, so he didn't, refund processed within 7 days.
 
@ prateekS depends on the value if less than 999 there will not be an issue if more you may run into trouble, depends on your luck and the claim adjustor you get along with seller and buyer profile.
 
Talk to seller directly. I had cancelled order for Core i3 proccy this way for my one of friend. Seller was kind enough to cancel it as soon as our telephonic conversation ended. Good luck !!
