^^ Giving you mod privileges will accomplish nothing. User name changes will have to be done by the admins. You will need admin rights, so PM Apex for the same.

it would be good to add that changing of usernames is not allowed here after in the rules page.. so mods can point to that , add the reason why.. peace!!

dude 99% of forums wont allow to change user names and so even admins who can do it never change theirs too.

I don't think it's much of a hassle. An admin has to change the name in the admin panel. I think Invision would handle the database part itself. Ofcourse all this can be a bit off the mark.
Also I don't see why anyone would argue against admins' stance against a change. You chose the name, you should live with it. That's how life works anyway.

they make their own rules - abide them OR leave

And I already said that people who chose their usernames should deal with it as they chose it after all.

Well...that's not the case with names, I'm afraid. You don't see people change their names. You don't see names of various landmarks or buildings being changed either. There maybe better and sexy sounding names out there doesn't make it appealing to change it in the real life. Anyway internet's a very weird place and none of the real life thinking matters here. So I might as well shut up as this is a really stupid thing to debate on.
