I got CM 690 w/s panel used with two cold cathode tubes in it through one of my friend. The Cabby was used for 6 months. I got it at a price of 3k. Now the issue is how do i check whether the cabinet was used for 6 months or older. As far the cabinet is concerned no possible damages. I got it with the box with all the serial keys attached and accesories. Please guide me. What are the neccessary precautions should i take.

if it's undamaged how does it matter if it's older than 6months?

it's just steel & plastic

I presume i said possible damages. No offence. And which are the places in a cabinet do i need check for a damage. There are lots of dust settled on the fan and front blue LED fan does not look bright enough. I tried blowing one day. Since the pressure is too much, i just stopped it immediately. I prefer making my CABBY looks cosmetically good!!!!!

As someone said... its just steel and plastic. as long as there are not dents and deep scratches.. you be ok..

and its from a frnd right??.. ask him.
 
Haven't you asked him for the original bill.

BTW if the Cabinet is the same company as the PSU, you can check the manufacture date on that.

Last one is a bit of hassle

Or you can open the front panel and check for similar stamp as follows.

@ zino The last one is definately a hassle. I m not able open up the front panel. As i mentioned in the earlier post the front LED fan looks dimm due to dust!! I wanted clean em up.
