Last month my mom was admitted in hospital and I came to know she got liver cirhossis with nash. She is 68 yrs old and was admitted for 2 weeks in hospital no surgery nothing just 19 tests done on her. Doc told the only cure to this is liver transplant and nothing else as the same problem Vilasrao deshmukh also had. Now I am such a person who works in call centre and cannot afford 30-40 lakhs for liver transplant. So I got her discharged from hospital on medication basis. So now when I had admitted her in the hospital I came to know that 95% of the medicines that you get from the chemists all are eligible for 15% discount on the total bill. I would like to know how to check which medicines have got discounts so that even a common person can get that at discounted rate. Many common ppl like me or u wont be knowing about it and many chemist shop accept the money which is printed in mrp. Medical students might be knowing about these discounts. So can you let us know where to check. These discounts are available in town side medical shops specially known as Dawa bazaar in Mumbai near crawford market. But if we can get entire list then we can circulate on whatsapp so that every common person comes to know that they can get discounts on each and everything they purchase.

Sorry to hear about your mom. You can see the discounts on medicines on sites like practo/1mg/medplus/netmeds/appollopharmacy etc

Before buying I always ask for discounts, for regular BP, Sugar related medicines all shops provide discounts and home delivery too. With online sites selling medicines they will be ready to give discounts knowing the business getting tougher and having a customer inclined to buy from them regular basis.

Firstly, make a list of medicines you need and speak to your local chemist and ask for contact person/rep at the company. Move up the chain until you find someone who can help.
