How to claim warranty for D Link modem?

D link now has their own RMA centres, having parted ways with Kaizen.
I had claimed warranty from Kaizen around 8 months ago and they just asked me the date of purchase but not the actual bill.
I have registered my product on dlink website along with the date of purchase (again asked no proof of purchase) and it shows correct warranty remaining. But I have no idea what are their practices now.
