Hello everyone,

my present set up is

1. 21 "CRT TV

2. My Desktop which has Pinnacle PCTV Stereo Tv tuner card.

Presently , i m watchinh Airtel DTH using the TV.., now i wanted to how to connect the Airtel DTH to both my TV and PC @ the same time, so that i can watch programmes on both TV as well as PC simultaneously.

Please help and thanks in advance...

I think you can't connect both. because if you change channel on the TV, then the same will reflect on the pc. So practically it won't be much beneficial

Same channels on two displays? Then get a splitter.

Different channels using a single DTH connection is not possible without a independent STB.

same channel in both pc and tv is ok.. for me... please tell me the procedure and what equipments to buy.. ebay link/pics will be very usefull...

I believe you have used RCA to connect the incoming cable from the STB to your PC or TV now.

Get hold of the RCA splitter - Link

PS: There may be a slight drop in the PQ.

yes.. i m using the rca cables to connect the airtel dth to TV...

@ gannu,can u plz suggest the coonection req. after getting the RCA splitter... How many RCA cables do i need to buy and any other wire do i need to buy??

someone plz reply..

#[member='terminater'], get a RCA splitter, now use one video out for the TV and another video out for the PC, connect that to the TV tuner card.

For audio, you can repeat the above process with the Left and Right audio channel, you will need another two RCA splitter

i use this... does the job but u will need to toggle between av/tv/dvdplayer everytime u wanna play something... or just keep it on DTH.

kinda works

You can use the splitter if you want to connect to your PC but i think it might decrease the picture clarity??

@CA50,

so from ur conversation ,i understamd that i need to get 3 RCA splitter and 2 RCA cables.Is there anything else i need to buy or is this things sufficient.?

@hellblog.

what is the price of the equipment , u have shown , and can u send me a Ebay link for purchasing it.

there is a RF out in Airtel DTH apart from RCA out. use a coaxial cable to connect it to the tuner input of your pinnacle card. you will get output from one of the channels in pinnacle. no need to buy any devices.

Mostly, your pinacle TV card will come with video in support. Connect the RCA out (AV) from the DTH STB to the pinacle. connect the RF out from the DTH STB to the TV. Set the frequency of the 0 channel to the channel number specified by the STB. You will get the signal on both.

If your TV card has component input (PbPrY Video + LR Audio) hthb then connect the component vido from the STB to the TV as this will give better quality compared to composite connection.
