How to continue torrent download in another machine ?

I am currently in the process of downloading data using a torrent. I want to continue download on another machine for that same torrent without losing any of the downloaded data. How can i do this ?

Copy the data folder to the other machine. Open the torrent flie with your client and in the 'Save As' location, select the folder where you have copied the contents.

The Client will check the data and carry on filling whatever is missing

^^ Explained.. Or, Copy Same Torrent File on another machine + the whole data folder where your torrent client is saving downloaded data..

After adding that torrent and placing downloading file on right path on another PC, client will first verify how much download is done and then it will resume the rest data downloading...

If u r using Vista:

Copy the contents of C:\Users\User_name\Appdata\Roaming\utorrent

and also the destination directory for the downloads.

On the new machine, place the downloaded files somewhere and copy the utorrent data folder in the same Roaming folder. Replace whatever is dere.

Start utorrent. If it does not detect the files, it's probably bcoz u have placed the downloaded files in a different directory structure.

Ideally, i will place the downloaded files in D:\ and also in D:\ on the new machine. The end location should be the same.

I think dat should do the trick for continuing the downloads. :hap2:

No need for all this. Simply direct the torrent application to save the file to the same folder where you have the incomplete file and check the "Do not start the download" option.

Right click the entry and choose "Force Re-Check". Once the torrent verifies the downloaded part of the file, you can continue the download.
