how to control bandwith use ?

I have a airtel 60gb 8mbps plan which my brother finishes up in no time and i hate slow internet. What to do to block all torrents/download sites except when i need them occasionally. My dd wrt router had option to speed restrict devices based on their mac id but i sold the router and now use airtel beetel one. which is the most cost effective way ? buy a new router which supports dd wrt and spend 1600 or so?[DOUBLEPOST=1469475550][/DOUBLEPOST]So i guess i need a router which has better range than airtel beetel modem+router and should support full dd wrt so i can use qos service to throttle speed of some devices and block some websites and protocols. which is the most cost effective one to buy ?

Just kick his ass if it's a younger brother.

Also 60GB is a terrible plan by any standards. Switch to a 2/3/4mbps unlimited plan.

Avoid downloading 1080p content, stick to 720p.
Educate yourself on the wonders of the x265 codec and add an x265 filter to all torrent searches.

Again 60GB is terrible. Seriously consider getting on an unlimited plan.

This is the best plan in gurgaon. 60gb and 8bmps ,after that 512kbps which makes net unusable. i knowx265 and which files to download, thats not the solution.
