How to convert MP3 to Midi for making ringtones?

Hi everybody,
I want to how a mp3 song can be converted to miidi format for creating ringtones. Is there any freeware available?

well i dont know of any freewares one...but u will find sm sharewares if u search....but i should warn you 90 % of the time the converted songs are crap..
 
dont waste ur time on such software -- u will never get anything near to what u'd like. its not possible to change mixed multichannel music to proper Sequencer music unless recorded with proper equipment
 
Well, not sure about midis, but i do know of one to convert MP3s into .amr's, which play on most phones. AMR coded audio is not very clear, but in certain cases, the audio quality is acceptable. You can use the Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0. You'll have to register at the Nokia site to download it. Registration is free, of course. :)
