Best way.....:bleh:

Take it apart....and spend time assembling it again....

1) Go out for movies
2) Go out for ice cream :bleh:
3) Go for walks or rides

^That was just a PJ. Not a serious suggesstion.

I would actually consider it a valid suggestion :P ...at least it was some years ago when laptops were not at all powerful with horrid displays and internet was slow.

I feel sorry for today's generation in terms of the no.of distractions they have. I mean..when I was a kid, my distractions were, do I read comics, do I see a VHS movie or do I go out and play with friends.

Now it is things like do I play on my PSP/Xbox/whatever, do I surf the net for orkut/facebook etc, do I watch porngraphy, do I watch some movie on PC, do I upload some silly theme to my mobile etc etc, do I watch TV for the hundred cartoons/serials whatever they show, do I download some software/movie/game etc.

This is overload of the senses.

I've moved my computer from my room today to another room on the top floor which is used for storage.... The computer is now will be used mostly as a download rig from there...

Hope I will be able to reduce my dependence & control my addiction... Touch wood...

My two cents:

1. Take up a sport (I play squash) and pursue it.

2. Go on excursions / cycling / biking trips over weekends, plan it out with like minded people.

3. If you are a book reader, then nothing like looking for some good books around.

The bottomline is - take up some activity that will engage you and keep you earnest, otherwise computer such a multi dimensional machine that its hard to ignore. I myself end up spending 10-12 hours a day on the computer, but I am in a software based company so can't help :P

I try to keep away from my computer (if I am not gaming!) on weekends. Go on treks or cycling trips. Sometimes go camping etc as well. But yes, if I home PC is messed up, I can't seem to get it out of my mind ! Don't stop until I have fixed it !

>>I don't think there is any harm in Kids watching Porn. I used to watch a lot of porn when I was a kid and I grew up just fine , if anything it only helps educate the kids about sex.

heh ... +1

I remember me and 2 friends bunking school and going to naaz cinema, lucknow for this kind of education :P.

-> Read books : technical or novels

-> If living with parents get involved in household activities

(sweeping floor :P)

Seriously its all about self-control and disciple rey, you decide when to

quit spending 18hrs on comp.
