i dont know how to delete my attachments. Previously it was very easy. Now i can see only 1 attachment in my attachments option in my profile. But when creating a new thread i can see 5 attachments and its not possible to delete it from here or under my profile - plz help
 
could be a bug !

a global moderator should help in removing (invisible) attachments ..

a similar problem was reported earlier [thread=171495]here[/thread] .

it is not possible for a member to delete own attachments from closed threads

Previously an attachment can be deleted after opening the closed thread to which the attachment belongs....
But Now there is no option to open or close a thread....

@6pack - i am able to see only one attachment in the profile and that too is not removable. I can see some other old attachments under "manage attacments" when creating new thread...
In simple terms i want to get rid of all the attachments...
 
Just wondering, why arent the mods looking forward to solve this problem.

Even my attachments box is showed full just coz of 3 files and I want to get rid of all of them.. Why to keep them saved in attachments when they are of no use.
 
^^ That's coz the mods can do nothing. Admins need to do the needful, and they have been informed already. :)
 
sorry to bring this up again! but i'm having the same trouble still... can any of the admins reset my attachments since the options to reopen threads is no longer available to us and old attachments are simply utilising space!

any help possible on this please?
 
@mach9: Brought this to the notice of the new admin. Let's see if the bug can be fixed.
 
I had raised this issue regards me 12 months back and i was told the admins will take care of it and am still waiting! old closed threads attachments cannot be deleted!
 
Strange i just deleted two attachment from my Control panal, is this issue member dependent ??

This issue is not member dependent, its thread dependent, if the thread containing your attachments is closed/locked then you cant delete those attachments.
 
well then thats a pretty sucky issue. cos if you cant delete the attachments for locked threads, your wasting your allotted space for nothing
