How to download from FTP ?

Hey guys,

I am trying to download some files from ftp, but its way to slow even on my 2Mbps TATA connection. I thought that with private FTP i would be getting full speed, but i dunno i might be missing something.

I am using software "FlashFXP" to download from a ftp. My speeds dont cross 90KB/s :huh:

Any ideas how can i tweak it to get the best ?

1)that pvt FTP their respective b/w for ul speed so despite u with power of 2 Mbps u with that speed .

OR

2) the pvt FTP owner has set certain limit for ul so if u can get in touch ask to uncap it .

well its working great now ..

Downloading using IDM...and not FlashFXP...so getting max speed

you can use direct link as ftp://user:pass@ftp.host.com/path/to/file.zip
