hi for last many days i am trying to download a software from rapidshare as a free user but each time it says your IP is downloading a file i donno what it is .i am using airtel gprs. please guide me through this

Rapidshare has a small mechanism in place that prevents a single ip from downloading two files simultaneously. This site hides ur ip and prevents rapidshare to detect any matches thus successfully overriding the above locking system. This aint a long-term cure just an different possible path to solve ur stated problem. You will have to check ur DMs for identifying the mysterious files which are getting downloaded, if they really are that is.

While waiting for download, type javascript:c(countdown = 0); in the browser addressbar to eliminate the rapidshare countdown (waiting) feature. If this trick doesn't work, try the alternative below:
1. Click the Free button to initiate the download for rapidshare website
2. As the countdown timer begins, type the following URL in the location bar and press enter or click the Go button. The rapidshare direct download link should appear immediately.
The third option to byepass waiting time in Firefox is by using Greasmonkey extension and installing rapidshare.user.js script (rapidshare no wait). RapidLeecher is another PHP script for Rapidshare.de, Megaupload and MyTempDir services for immediate and simultaneous multiple downloads using proxy servers.
Byepass the Rapidshare data download limit
Rapidshare limits each user to a certain amount of downloading per day based on the users IP address. You can easily cheat rapidshare by showing a different IP address.
1. Clear your browser cookies.

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
4. Type exit to close the DOS window. Restart the rapidshare download job.

If Rapidshare block your IP, change proxy
Rapidshare might block an IP from download for sometime. To byepass this restriction, change your IP. First obtain a IP and it's port from publicproxyservers.com. Then use that IP and port in your browser Connection settings window. Click OK.
Download files from Rapidshare like a Premium user
Install the Flashgot extension to enable integration of Firefox with Flashget download manager. Go to a rapidshare download link once the timer is done right click on it and choose FlashGot Link
from the context menu. Flashget will launch the download window. Choose only 1 split file for the download to work. This works on RAPIDSHARE even without a premium account.

erm .. are they all illegal?? :huh:
I mean they are just different ways to download multiple files from a single server. The checking part is just overridden by the above methods ( ya hacks, but hope u didnt just go by the word ). I dont think they qualify into the category of operations which work above a certain proximity of access.
Still if they do cross the limits i d be glad to know and mods can delete the above posts. :ashamed:

lol, 10$ a month gets you a premium so why not get one? I'm one And in doing so, i've just shifted away from Bittorrent and other p2p programs since i payed and now i download all sorts of warez, links are all over google and there are tons of Rapidshare dedicated communities that upload all Bittorrent releases to Rapidshare. So i download full speed, no uploading worries, from my download managers, 2-4 files at once without any restrictions

Universal Share Downloader? Tried it, didn't work for me but the latest updated version might work.

ya universal share downloader didnt work for me either.. using Rapget.. pretty good.doesnt bypass the hour long wait.. but it queues up files which is good enough for now cause i do stuff on torrents + rapget.... plusi dont have a total unlimited connection..

ya dextor , i also thought the same way when i posted the above stuff. Come to think of it, if u classify such stuff as illegal ( read: proximity maintained), then what about the idea to build rapidshare in 1st place? The existence of such sites and servers where you can dowload any goddamn-softwares for just 10$ a month defines their ideology of legalities, doesnt it?
The above methods propels one to efficiently utilise the services provided without causing any harm to provider or their customers.
I only posted them as i thought i could make someones life easier..( android, i hope u ve had gone through that post, if yes plz post if ur problem has been solved!) if anyone still thinks they are beyond the limits please refrain from reading that and inform me about what is wrong where. ( which i doubt anyone could ).
I believe in this domain of cyber-space we have to endure long time before someone realises the true value of atoms and bits and their difference, effectively to implement a mechanism inorder to induce definations through which we can identify and differentiate between authentic data-sharing and various other-types of it.
