I own a HP net book , some 2 yrs old (out of warranty)

how can i repair it for cheap , any pointers welcome in bangalore.

i cheked at HP , they quoted near 7k for it..

i hardly use net book , so i dont feel spening much..

if i can repair it for less i can use as a back up.

Mention your model number, etc. Will help in getting a suitable replacement piece from the US which you can replace yourself.

If you want to fix it, tr yo remove the key, then carefully remove the plastic spring like thing below it and then using a cotton bud with alcohol, clean the contact below the black button.

7k for keyboard ? Simply wtf.

Its way too much. I got my friends Compaq keyboard changed and it costed me around 1500 something (max). IDK why you are being charged so high amount.

Most laptops use membrane keyboards which are sealed, so you might not be able to service it without wrecking it.

See if you can find the part number as Vivek said, and snag it off eBay.
