How to get rid of slow machine performance.

Hi Guys ,
I know its very complicated to ask such questions but i m really tired of machine performance .

OS:
Microsoft windows xp professional 2002
Service pack 3
CPU:
Intel Core 2 CPU.6300@1.86 GHz.
RAM:
2GB
Disk :
C has 4 GB and D has 15 Gb of free space.

Below steps are already performed by me:
Defragment using defraggler (Periform software)
Removed unnecessary softwares.
Run CCcleaner to fix registry and free disk space.
scandisk didnt report any error.

Is there any thing else that can be done??

Mate try to free some space on c drive, what is the size of paging file.get advanced system care free from iobit it detects more registry errors and also improves performance.

Run disk cleaner for more space later go to run and type prefetch and delete the files present there later go to msconfig and configure what startup items you need and disable the rest

Get more RAM.

TLDR:
Define what you mean by 'machine performance'. What do you use the computer for? The web? Video Games? Music? Movies?...

Yup check the HDD for errors.

Reinstalling OS would help too.

Where exactly do you feel the computer is being slow for you?

Best tool i have used so far.

Thanks for the advise my problem is solved.

If you don't game, try linux, preferably a Debian based OS. No slowdowns whatsoever.

If you insist on using Windows, get TuneUp utilities. Not free but then...ehm
