Graphic Cards How to get sound from ATI Sapphire HD4670?

This card is supposed to have a sound card onboard. How can I get audio on my Altec lansing 251 speakers using this card? Actually, my motherboard's sound card is not working anymore. The central/ subwoofer port keeps plugging and unplugging on its own.
If this can't be done, suggest me a good budget sound card please. I don't want to buy a new mobo without buying a new processor.

Instead of buying a new motherboard, you should buy a Sound card. You can use it even if you change your system. :)

:S i tried HDMI cable from a HD4850 to my monitor , sound output is coming directly :S i didnt plug any cable from mobo to card .

yea this is true, ATI cards dont need any cables to be attached to mobo. Only NVIDIA cards do.

But how to get sound on seperate speakers rather than inbuilt speakers of the monitor?

from the monitor audio outs> might be 3.5mm stereo/co-axial/optical depending on the monitor features and brand.

most HD TVs has optical as well as co-axial out.

My monitor doesn't have a sound output. There is something wrong with the central/subwoofer output of my motherboard. If I do manage to find a HDMI input on my Mobo, will it fix this problem? I seriously doubt that it will. Can you direst me to a good online source for the creative audigy sound card you are suggesting? Lynx is near my house and has this card but its for 1760 and I know the VAT will be extra so it will cost me 1830. Is that fine?

Try to bargain :p But even if you find that for 100-200 bucks less anywhere else in India, you have to pay the shipping. So bargain with Amarji and get it. It will be easier for servicing also. :)

Still can you suggest an online source for this card. If I tell him it is available for less price in some online store he may reduce the price but if I tell him its available for less in some other retail shop, he will just ask me to get the card from that shop.

I didn't get a HDMI cable with my Sapphire Graphic card. So I think I will have to buy a Sound card.

@SushantV: I will think about it and let you know for sure.

i got G2412 which has 3.5mm audio output , connected speakers to that :p and using the HDMI cable which i bought from KMD for 230 bux .

Sound blaster 5.1 won't work in Windows 7. So, dnt get that if using Win 7.

Audigy value rocks in all departments and also works in Win 7.
Depending upon where u are located, u can get it locally for ~1600 bucks.:)
