On another note, how do you Foobar fans deal with the horrible UI ?
Tried Foobar looks, Foobar formatting strings.. but nothing quite making up for it

Its just a blank window with very minimal control, equalizer/volume control isn't displayed right on (or am i doing something wrong?

Foobar has many 3rd part ui's available for download.
You need an excellent speaker setup to appreciate Foobar's no-nonsense flat sound.
Rest of us using cheapo speakers need to make do with cheap equalizer effects reproduced by winamp or wmp10 which obviously result in loss of clarity but it's still better than the totally crap quality of normalized mp3's on such speakers.
