how to import UML diagrams

I don't think that is possible. As Rational diagrams consists of Classes/Objects and they need to be present before making the diagram. Word only stores the diagrams as images so Rational would not recognise it when you import it. You can however put diagrams from Rational to Word.
 
I had a similar problem. I have files in rational rose and i need to convert that to XMI. i.e from MDL to XMI.

Any tools available?
 
i already had gone thru it buddy, and it is just a plug in. doesn't do XMI conversionn. :( do you use it? or googled?

I have used the Unisys plugin and have exported the XMI. You can do it by going from Rational Rose File Menu -> Export XMI. I have then used the exported XMI in WSAD.

There was no Export XMI option.
Anyways, thanks for your help buddy. Will look into it in office tom and will get back. go nite
