well I have a 2nd gen nano and although the sound is sparkling the bass is too low fr some songs even if the EQ is " BASS booster"

Since it does not provide custom EQ , is there any other tweak to improve bass response...

even my old sony discman has wayyy better bass.....

pls help!

hehehee..... .this is a problem with most mp3 players.. I felt the same way when I shifted from my Sony D-803 Discman to the iriver and felt even worse when I got the ipod.

Yeps all you can do is get some good headphones ,I am using the iPod video the default headphones are absolutely no good .I too got myself the EP630's and hell there is no looking back. Being an electronic music fan bass is very important for me and these headphones are impeccable when it comes to bass.

cost abt Rs 900/- or so ..

ask saiyan here.. he is the GODFATHER of The Group Order For Ep's

Maybe he ll arrange a GO for you .. i kno of another member who has been pestering him ..

(Saiyan is gonna kill me for this lil info.. eh saiyan :bleh: )

earbuds should be worn with caution, they are sitting just next to ur eardrum. Cranking up the volume to kill existing noisy environments is a one way ticket to deafness.

I listen to a lot of bass heavy music, and tbh, after a bit my ears begin to ache,,too much BOOM BOOM.

Best way is with big speakers.

The biggest issue with bass on headphones is that you can't 'feel' it, so you turn up the volume so you can hear it better, and that over time, causes ear damage.

IEMs have it a bit better but bass is a tactile thing, so speakers are the best bet for bassheads. On the move, it's better to have devices with custom EQ so you can push the bass up. Usually the amps will start distorting earlier than usual, and the battery life will also be shorter.

Be very careful with IEMs and the volume control. You only get one pair of ears.

Yup that is one thing that always worries me but i guess you can keep your volume low rather sufficient enough.

I found the EP630's can drive out external sound to a good extent so you can very well keep the volume low. Apart from that you always have to give yourself a break never keep those phones rooted to your ears.

Got the Ep630's 1 week back @ Rs1050
