CPU/Mobo how to know the stepping of cpu?

plzz tell me how to know the stepping of cpu when buying????????? plzz guide me.i am planning to get a e8400 so which stepping is goood,,,,,,,:huh:

You can come to know the stepping by reading the white sticker to the side of the sales packaging. It'll have all details like place of manufacture, batch, etc.

^ They mostly dont have revision printed and you have to make it out from parch number,etc.

I've bought an e4500, e8400 & an i7 920 and unless India is getting completely different packaging, revision is printed on the sticker.

just do the reverse. Find the Boxcode for desireabe stepping note it and search
market.

E0 is good for :e8400 and details for box code can be fine here :
