PC Peripherals how to know which chipset/mb is there?

Hi all,
A friend of mine has an Maxtone HIS motherboard. There was some spyware & had to un-install the current config & install everthing afresh. So somehow was able to install Windows XP but lacking some of the m/b drivers. http://www.maxtone.com/hisintel.php shows up but hard to figure out which one it is. There are some softwares which probe & give all the info. Forgot the names. Can anybody help?

He can use a diagnostic programme like Astra32 ..

It wd give out all the details one wd require..

Everest or Sisoft Sandra are very good for general computer information. CPUZ or CPUID is good for proccie, motherboard and ram details.
