Okay guys I have got a motorola micro SD card adapter, I tried to insert the adapter in my PC's SD card slot but it won't read the adapter, nothing comes up on my comuter, can you suggest me what could be the possible cause and do I need some driver or something for the adapter to be recognized by my computer?

Have you inserted the microSD card in the adapter before trying it on the PC? Without the microSD card, it won't identify anything. ANd no, you don't need any drivers for the same. Just insert the microSD card in the adapter, and then the adapter in the PC, and it will be identified as removable storage device (SD card) in My Computer.

Yeah, yeah I did insert the micro SD card as well, do you think that my SD card slot might not be working properly and that is why it has been not able to detect the adapter along with the micro SD card, my PC is nearly 8 years old? Secondly is their any other method by which I can put data in my micro SD card without having to put it in a mobile phone?

Even a 8yr old PC should identify the SD card. Probably it's a problem with the slot. You could confirm by checking whether your PC identifies other SD cards inserted in the same slot.
As a workaround, you could get one of those cheap USB card readers costing around 100 bucks. Some of them even have a microSD slot. In case you are using one of those 3G or CDMA USB dongles for internet connection, most of them have a microSD slot too.

Are those the only ways by which I can put data in my micro SD card, any other method as well which doesnt involve buying anything new for me? I am not in the mood to spend, as this is thing is going to be just temporary.

Go to any local mobile/recharge shop in your area. Ask them for a cheap microsd card reader. Here it comes for 25-30 Rs. Its like a pendrive with a sd card slot.

Oh now that you have described it, I remember now, I had one. But sadly lost it 3 years ago. I think this might be the ultimate solution. Thanks.
