How to make torrent work???

I am using my college proxy to surf internet ie 172.41.253.255:3128 to surf internet.

but this proxy even blocks wikipedia sometimes despite our complaints, college didn't even consider getting it tweaked.

apart from that I cant use Torrents to download latest linux iso.

so I wanted to know if there is something that can help me out of this situtaion......

I have heard of tunnelling, but dont know how to use it.....
