hi , i am not able to open .chm files in windows 7, i had downloaded a few text books in.chm format but i am not able to open it , please help guys,

thanks for the reply guys , addon is not working for FF 4.0.1 and chm decoder cannot open the chm file that i have downloaded

Right click on the .chm file > Properties > Click on Unblock button. Now try opening it.
Also, if the filename contains any symbol then rename your file and remove those symbols. A known bug in Window.
There is a workaround to force older add-on to work with your version of firefox.
1) Type about:config in address bar > Agree the warning > Right-click > New > Boolean > Type extensions.checkCompatibility in boolean value's name and set its value to False.
Basically you are disabling the compatibility check so now you can install any older add-on in any version of firefox. Another way to achieve the same is by editing the extension file itself. But why go the hassle way.
