I converted a DivX AVI movie to DVD using WinAVI (Avi2DVD gave an error on the DivX file), burnt it thru Nero to DVD but PS2 doesn't play it.

Any ideas?

Is it mod-chipped? If yes did you try turning the Ps2 on by pressing the power button in for 2 secs?

If you have any other DVD players, try it in to see if it works.

Also, can you further explain the nero burning procedure? WinAVi must've output a single Mpeg file, right? What option in Nero did you use to burn the DVD?

yup it's modchipped. WinAVI produced normal VOB files and Nero burnt it properly. I compared the DVD structure with the Lord of the Ring DVD i had and both are similar. I used "Burn DVD Video files" option in Nero.

Thanks for the link Quad Master, i'll surely try it and let u know.

Meanwhile any ideas about what am i doing wrong?

Why convert Divx to DVD when u can play divx directly.

Well i was able to create the required image files (.cue, .bin) using the PS2 Reality Media Player. Now, i tried almost every burning software mentioned in the PS2 tutorial i.e. Cdrwin 6.1, burnatonce, DVD Decrypter etc. but they don't write anything on the DVD or they gave an error that incorrect media was inserted.

Now, i am trying to write the image files (~800MB) to a DVD, but all the burning software require a CD Media when i give the path of the .cue file to it.

What to do??? How can i burn the image file to a DVD?

I extracted the image file using ISOBuster, converted it to DVD ISO using ImgBurn. It still doesn't work!
