hi there
i have acer aspire laptop, 60 GB hard disk. when i bought it, there was a command line version Linux distribution Linspire installed on this, taking, 2 GB of space. According to my laptop manuals, this is the recovery partition, which i can use to recover my laptop to condition in which it was bought. but i want to use this 2 GB space for my own use instead of wasting it in recovery partition,as i will never want to recover my laptop to that waste piece of Linspire OS.
i have tried formatting hard disk completely with various tolls, like Hitachi hard disk tools or complete format with windows xp installation. but no outcome.
windows xp at time of installation shows total disk space to be 60 GB, but 2 GB is never in use.
Can anyone please help me in reclaiming this 2 gb space for my own use ?
