How to remove password from Winrar archive

ive downloaded winrar archive data of 2 gb but it is password protected. I need to remove it in order to extract the files. Whats the best way to remove the password. somebody help me. The password isn't mentioned on the site it was downloaded.
 
Check comments. Search for similar file, if it is listed on another site, they might have mentioned password.

And also Google for rar password recovery / remover. Try those softwares. They use brute-force method, hence it will take time.
 
FYI none of the pwd recoveries are 100%. Sadly they can recover only when we give some SENSEFUL passwords no matter what complexity levels you set or they are capable of.:ashamed:

Eg: It wont ever recover something like: _wW.@(9/v]tsrh#%Y%:#c0M which is impossible to crack.

Coz all recovery methods usually use dictionary words and the above meant eg. or rar pwd files on net contain no simple words which fall in any dictionaries.

Even pwd like: r9tmw!n7ed!@MS arent recovered.

And people keep the recovery process going on for several days which eats your hardisks life coz it strains your harddisk very badly.

Also torrent passwords are either too easy or hell difficult to get. Sometime the link goes to some porn site which forces us to signup and in return get nothing but just tons of spam in our inbox which too doent goes even when unsubscribed.:P

My suggestion is to look for similar file elsewhere which is pwd free.:)
 
Just google the filename and see where all it shows up. Chances are, there'll be a password somewhere.
 
all external decriptions w/o the encrypto algos got till now is here. brute b**chin force. all we can do is that. sad :(

did you download it from a filehosting site link? If yes, then do a google search for the link and see if it's posted somewhere else and there's a chance uploader have included the password in the post. If you've downloaded it from torrent then, then you can request the Poster/Thread Starter for the password. If everything fails, and you're still ready to give it a try then try to crack it like funkysourav has suggested. include the sitename, and the original poster's user id in the dictionary and cross your fingers. Be prepared to wait till the eternity. :P
 
This file had been uploaded by a person privately and he had provided me the link to download. I had emailed several times to reveal the password no words from it for now 20 days past. If anyone can crack this file and extract the contents I shall pay you 1 grand. I shall upload the same file over the web and provide u link to download the file or I shall send the file through DVD Disk. File is 2GB. Anyone ready?
 
1 grand , are you serious. BTW what those the file contain? Is it that important.
Have you tried the dictionary attack with the latest dictionary file??
 
Yes It has some business listings in excel files. I tired one or two software's didn't work out. If anyone can help me to find the password I can even pay more than 1 grand. Check My trader ratings.

put the persons name/ id as password. or your name. or give us the link from where you downloaded it. might be some clue to the pass is there.
