How to save USB from virus?

I want a software which automatically scans usb before putting anything in it such that no virus infected file get in the USB or to the PC.

Pls suggest.

i think he means an antivirus which will automatically scan any files being put on the thumbdrive no matter where he takes the pen drive.

Easiest way to protect your computer from any external drive....

Don't double click on external drive to open it, instead type drive address in explorer to open it.

Its possible to avoid a PC from getting infected by inserting a USB.... but very hard to prevent a USB getting infected when inserting into a PC

^^ i had a Quantum pendrive with that feature.

Clean format your usb pen drive and then make a folder named 'autorun.inf' and mark it hidden and read only and see the difference. You can try this on all drives both removable and fixed ones.

actually what it does -it stops the autoplay of USB drive thus prevents the virus in the flash drive to come into the computer.remember never double-click or open any flash drive ,instead explore it!
i never open my hdd drives instead i explore my hdd drives
