Hi everybody,

here is my problem. I am in talk with a vendor manufacturing computers cabinets in guandong province in china. He has given me his bank details and SWIFT account number. I currently have a savings account with SBI. I want to know how can i transfer him the money safely, securely and with lowest charges.

P.S: i do not have a credit card only a maestro debit card. I checked out western union but it seems one can only receive money and not send to other county due to our country's policies

Any experience or advice will be highly appreciated

What type of cabinets are you trying to import? I mean are these not available in India?

Reason is if you have a bulk order then you can get it via Indian Distributors itself for Wholesale Price, as cabinets weigh between 1-2 Kgs, the shipping & freight, Import taxes, duties & all other charges also the charges to send money abroad + Risks involved will totally destroy the value once the cabinet reach your place.

Are these any special cabinets, custom built? or Are they available for extremely low prices?

Head to your bank and tell them you want to do a wire transfer. They'll give you a bunch of forms to fill.

They'll charge you the current trading rate + some administrative fee. Might not be the lowest, but its safe, secure and legal.
