How to set a proxy server (in the short matter)

My name is Prashanth you may know. Could you tell me, how to set the Proxy server? This I can search on google also but there are huge web pages, I have to read.
If I miss even a small important point, that will be a big problem. So I'm asking you for some advice. Can you tell me about this in
a short matter (2 or 3 pages) I'm living in near the Miyapur area in Hyderabad city Telangana state I this information enough?

Hi man, I think better look on YouTube. You can use the exact OS and connectivity that you have and the search will show step by step method with screen capture to do the setup. It’s much easier that way than going through long posts in the forum.
