:) HI everyone .

Guys , i am stuck in a difficult situation .
I have a MTNL Broadband Connection and a WI-FI router provided by MTNL itself . I have my desktop connected to the router thru a LAN cable and LAPTOP connected thru WI-FI . Everything works fine and i can browse internet on both lappy and desktop simultaneously .

Now the prob is , that i want to share files and folders on both laptop and PC when both of them are in operation . I also have a 1TB EXT HDD and some songs collection on my laptop too . Also i have my logitech Z5500 connected with my desktop .. I want to set up my systems in such a way that if i am in need to watch a movie or play a song that is on my laptop i don't need to transfer it through a pen drive first . I want to set the systems in a way so that i can browse my laptop files straight away from the desktop and can listen to the music through my Z5500 . Also i should be able to trasnfer the files from PC to LAPPY without using PEN DRIVE each time .

A step by step guide will be appreciated ..

Please help me out guys , i need a solution for this .

Thanks in advance .

Well you didnt provide details about your operating system. I'll suggest you look up File Sharing on Google for your operating system. You can share the folder on your desktop and map it as a network drive on your laptop.

run command "networksetup.cpl" -- without the quotes, and follow the instructions... do this on both desktop and laptop

then the sharing will be enabled... then on you can share your folders, drives etc easily...
