How to survive a horror movie?

GF big fan of horror movies and i am not. Never seen one too i guess not that im scared of ghosts. She planning for this annabelle and its trailer has made my heartbeat a il high right now. Do these movies have after effects as i sleep alone in entire floor. What to do so i dont end up looking like a pussy

I was actually more scared when driving after the movie. I drove at night 2 hours after it with 50% alone at a place at those roads are desolate and barely saw 1 or 2 cars. Was half exoecting to be wailaid and my suv snatched
